Plan for the Week

We just got back from the doctor's office and here is the update:

1. I'm still only at 1cm dialated, not really effaced at all and my cervix is still pointing back and kiddo is fairly high. So she swept the membranes around the cervix to see if that will do anything. Ouch.

2. We hooked me up to the fetal monitoring unit to see how Monkey is doing in there. All systems go. Heartrate and movement rate all look good, he is nice an cushioned too. I am having contractions pretty regularly but they aren't progressive yet. We have another one of these sessions scheduled for this Wednesday night to check him out again.

3. If nothing starts up on its own, we will be checking in to the hospital this Friday, New Years Day at 4pm to start the induction process. So at least we have a deadline to look forward to of getting something going even if it may still take a few days beyond that to meet him.

In the meantime I will be at work and continuing to scare the crap out of people by going to the Y for water aerobics and walking around the track. I think this week will be easier than this past weekend simply because I have the distraction of work to keep me (somewhat) busy.
